About Space Coast Pride

Mission

Space Coast Pride is a wholly volunteer-managed non-partisan, tax-exempt, not-for-profit corporation that organizes Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride events throughout the Space Coast of East Central Florida. We welcome the participation of all, regardless of age, creed, gender, gender identification, HIV status, national origin, race, religion, sexual origin, and regardless of ability. Space Coast Pride is governed by the Board of Directors.

Space Coast Pride, Inc. is the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual and Transgender community organization for Brevard County, Florida and a non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization. Its primary focus is to foster a sense of community among the LGBTQ+ community and to bridge the divide within all aspects of our lives. The Space Coast Pride Festival & Parade is the pinnacle of our efforts. Space Coast Pride is committed to upholding LGBTQ interests in Brevard County.

History

Space Coast Pride, formerly known as The Living Room of Brevard, started in 2007 as a small picnic and has grown to become one of the most respected Pride events in Florida, drawing people from all over the state, across the country, and even overseas.
We completed our most recent festival & parade within the Historic Eau Gallie Arts District in Melbourne, Florida in 2019 had over 170 vendors, two entertainment stages, indoor vendor expo, over 60 parade units, and over 12,000 attendees.

Board Meetings

Board meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month.

All Board Meetings are open to the public for all who wish to attend and to see how the organization works, become involved, and make new friends! If you wish to be on the board agenda, please email community@spacecoastpride.org. Thanks!

Space Coast Pride is a proud member of the International Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Coordinators (InterPride), a not-for-profit organization that provides support to over 200 groups that plan Pride events around the globe. Space Coast Pride is also a member of Prides of the Southeast (POSE), an association of Pride committees in the Southeastern US.
